Music Sketch
Hi,
Making of:
I free styled playing for nearly 40 minutes (during playing i tried to play what i was feeling) and about 8 days later heard it all again and took notes on the minutes that seemed interesting coming up with 3 sections. Then today i relistened to one of the sections and removed some parts that didn't seem rememberable. It became this music sketch:

Music Sketch
Hi,
For this one i wanted to have more dynamic piano with a simpler piano. So I separated out the chords of the simpler piano and used them for left hand and free styled a newer more complex right hand. I figured out the tempo I was using was around 74bpm and I lined up some of the bass piano to follow more the 74bpm. Lastly I added a simple drum melody. There is a little bit of string i used as well.

Dance Theme Sketch
Hi,
I started by extracting a theme from a large quantity of notes i played from feel. I figured out the theme was roughly at 102bpm and Cubase allowed me to figure this bpm out without changing the themes tempo.
With that extracted piece I started layering on additional piano, string and even flute. But when i isolated the piano i noticed it needed a stronger base line. So I free styled some piano chords. This made me remove the strings and flute and then I added drum and free styled a piano melody. The drums helped me to adjust the piano melody notes to better fit the 102 bpm.

Making of Sketch
Hi,
For this one i let about a month pass between building on the idea.
I found the portion of song that i liked and used repetition of that theme. In cubase i could cut and paste the portions to repeat.

Making of Sketch
Hi,
When I sit at the piano I usually have a large chunk of notes that I play within a 30min to 1 hr time. Sometimes the chunk could be 16min or even 30minutes.
I like to at a later time listen to two large chunks at a time and rest. I take notes to myself for example of this song:
relaxingmusic_0810_00
##
04:21 - 4:50 (1 minor piece “hopeful”) 6:03-07:15 ( >2 pieces “hopeful”) ***
music sketch
Hope you enjoy,
Thanks
Nate

Making of Letter to Love
Hi,
--first played on piano and stopped recording when felt i had just played with emotion
--basically after listening allowed myself to change/remove notes if felt i knew what the notes i was aiming for in the piano were
--also beginning to start repeating similar rhythm if felt i wanted to go longer with an idea but didnt at piano
Thanks for listening,
Nate
